Roxanne Stevenson, Executive Director
Roxanne Stevenson became the Executive Director of the Children’s Advocacy Center of Gregg and Harrison Counties in October, 2011. Roxanne is responsible for the oversight, coordination, and direction of the day-to-day administrative operations, provides public education and community awareness regarding child abuse issues and the purpose of the CAC, and develops fundraising and program expansion initiatives. She has served in a variety of management roles for other non-profit organizations in East Texas before joining the CAC, and has a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from LeTourneau University.
Brittany Johnson, Child & Family Advocate/Forensic Interviewer
Brittany Johnson is The Martin House CAC’s Child and Family Advocate and Forensic Interviewer. Brittany joined the staff in August, 2012 after graduating from Texas State University in San Marcos where she received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Applied Sociology with a Minor in Criminal Justice. While attending school, Brittany completed a 300-hour internship at a Children’s Advocacy Center in San Marcos and volunteered for several other youth-focused non-profit organizations. As the Child and Family Advocate/Forensic Interviewer, Brittany is responsible for conducting forensic interviews, making sure children and families who come to the center receive necessary services and support, and provides case information to multi-disciplinary team members investigating child abuse allegations.
Kimberly Lara, Child & Family Advocate/Forensic Interviewer
Kimberly Lara joined the staff of The Martin House Children’s Advocacy Center on February 20th, 2013. Kimberly serves as a Child & Family Advocate and Forensic Interviewer and, because she is bilingual, has expanded The Martin House CAC’s ability to assist Spanish-speaking children and families. Kimberly earned her Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from the University of North Texas and completed an internship with the Denton County CAC while in college. She has also completed a course to help families with Crime Victims Compensation applications. Kimberly is new to Longview, having moved from the Corsicana area.
